Lexi Marinov, a third grader at Hawthorne School, and her art teacher, Elizabeth Federman, celebrated Marinov’s first-place finish in the California Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month art show and competition.
Hawthorne first grader Franky Lisitsa came in second place.
Under the instruction of Beverly Hills High School art teacher Michael Federman, Shang Guo won second place in two-dimensional art, Caroline Geller won second place in digital art and Natalie Lightner won third place in digital art.
The students and their work will be moving on to compete in the upcoming Southern California Area Show.
