Cirque du Soleil presents the upcoming Los Angeles engagement of “VOLTA,” which runs from Jan. 18 through March 8, under the Big Top at Dodger Stadium, 1000 Vin Scully Ave.
The name “VOLTA” refers to a sudden about-face, a change in emotion or idea often used in poetry, and speaks to the jolt of energy delivered during the show.
Energetic, urban and contemporary, “VOLTA” offers a voyage of discovery showcasing acrobatics in a visually striking world. Driven by a melodic score and inspired in part by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of street sports, “VOLTA” is a story of transformation, being true to oneself and fulfilling one’s true potential.
The creators of the show, inspired by the spirit of adventure of street sports and acrobatics, mounted a full BMX park on stage. Riders give a fast and furious performance of nonstop acrobatics on wheels. “VOLTA” was written and directed by Bastien Alexandre with Jean Guibert as director of creation. Tickets start at $49. For tickets, call (877)9CIRQUE, or visit cirquedusoleil.com/volta.
