The 77th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, Jan. 5, and the Beverly Hills Police Department is deploying additional staff and security measures to ensure a safe event.
Road closures will be set up on Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards, with access provided only to local residents and to members of the Los Angeles Country Club. Alternate east-west routes include South Santa Monica, Olympic, Pico and Sunset boulevards.
Additionally, partial closures will be established on residential streets with access granted only to residents.
North Santa Monica Boulevard westbound will be completely closed from Wilshire Boulevard to Century Park East from 9 p.m. on Jan. 3 through 4 a.m. on Jan. 6. Eastbound will be completely closed from Century Park East to Wilshire Blvd from 2 p.m. on Jan. 4 through 4 a.m. on Jan. 6. For an alternate route, South Santa Monica Boulevard will remain open in both directions.
Westbound Wilshire Boulevard will be completely closed at South Santa Monica Boulevard from 6 a.m. on Jan. 5 to 4 a.m. on Jan. 6. Eastbound will be closed on a limited basis at Beverly Glen Boulevard, with local access only for residents of the 10200 and 10300 blocks of Wilshire Boulevard and visitors to the Los Angeles Country Club from 7 a.m. on Jan. 5 to 4 a.m. on Jan. 6. Wilshire Boulevard will be completely closed to all other through traffic between the country club and South Santa Monica Boulevard. Alternate routes include South Santa Monica, Sunset and Olympic boulevards.
Whittier Driver will be closed on a limited basis from Wilshire Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard, with local access for residents only from 7 a.m. on Jan. 5 through 1 a.m. on Jan. 6. Alternate routes include all north-south streets east of Bedford Drive.
Trenton Drive and all adjacent alleyways will see a limited closure from Wilshire Boulevard to Whittier Drive, with local access for residents only from 7 a.m. on Jan. 5 to 1 a.m. on Jan. 6. As an alternate route, residents can access Trenton Drive from Elevado Avenue.
Northbound and southbound Greenway Drive will be closed on a limited basis from Sunset Boulevard to Whittier Drive with local access for residents only from 7 a.m. on Jan. 5 through 1 a.m. on Jan. 6. Westbound Greenway will be closed on a limited basis at Walden Drive with local access for residents only from 7 a.m. on Jan. 5 through 1 a.m. on Jan. 6.
Westbound Carmelita, Elevado and Lomitas avenues will be closed on a limited basis at Walden Drive with access for residents only from 7 a.m. on Jan. 5 through 1 a.m. on Jan. 6.
In addition, parking will be completely prohibited from 6 a.m. to midnight on Jan. 5 on Whittier Drive from Wilshire Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard and on Greenway Drive from Sunset Boulevard to Whittier Drive.
Parking will be restricted to resident vehicles with a permit or exemption code from 6 a.m. to midnighton Jan. 5 on Carmelita Avenue from Wilshire Boulevard to Walden Drive, Lomitas Avenue from Whittier Drive to Walden Drive, Elevado Avenue from Wilshire Boulevard to Walden Drive, Trenton Drive from Whittier Drive to Wilshire Boulevard, and Walden Drive from Santa Monica Boulevard to Whittier Drive.
