A player for the New England Patriots was arrested in Beverly Hills on Jan. 11 after he allegedly damaged a vehicle by jumping on the hood.
Julian Edelman, 33, was taken into custody by Beverly Hills Police Department officers at approximately 9 p.m. in the 200 block of North Beverly Drive, according to a statement from the BHPD. He was taken into custody for misdemeanor vandalism and released shortly after with a citation. He is scheduled to appear in the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s Airport Courthouse on April 13, the statement read.
BHPD spokeswoman Elisabeth Albanese had no information about the situation or the events that led up to the incident. Media reports indicated Edelman had been with former Boston Celtics player Paul Pierce and former Patriots teammate Danny Amendola at a restaurant in the area shortly before the incident. No further information was available.
