LACMA is inviting friends and families to “Lights On at LACMA,” open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday, Jan. 5.
Attendees can gather in the heated, covered outdoor lounge overlooking Urban Light, the street lamp assemblage sculpture at the museum’s Wilshire Boulevard entrance. The event features music, free art-making activities for kids, guided tours and a light display designed by PHNTM Labs. A seasonal menu of hot cocoas, ciders and churros will be available for purchase at the C+M coffee bar.
Daily highlights include DJs on the Smidt Welcome Plaza from 3 p.m. to close and the illumination of Urban Light at 5 p.m.
Los Angeles County residents with valid ID receive free museum admission every weekday after 3 p.m. LACMA members also receive free admission during museum hours.
LACMA is located at 5905 Wilshire Blvd. For information, call (323) 857-6000, or visit lacma.org/lights-on-at-lacma.
