On Jan. 9, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced that he endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden for president.

“He’s a close friend who has been an incredible partner in delivering progress for L.A. – on climate, #RaiseTheWageLA and more,” Garcetti said on Twitter. “We need him to bring our nation and world together during these divided and dangerous times.”

On Jan. 10, Garcetti announced that he would serve as national co-chair of Biden’s campaign.

“Thank you for your endorsement, Mayor [Garcetti],” Biden said on Twitter. “I’m proud to walk with firefighters, Angelenos and Americans. And today, I’m proud to walk with you. Let’s do this.”
