Renowned Chef Ricardo Zarate is reimagining the menu at the supper club Mama Lion in Koreatown. Primarily known for its bar and live music scene, Zarate will turn up the heat in Mama Lion’s kitchen as a culinary partner, teaming up with owner Robert Kim to elevate the menus.
Served tapas style, dishes will infuse Zarate’s signature Peruvian style with regional Asian and Latin influences. The evolving menu will feature approximately 10 to 15 core dishes, alongside weekly specials made from sourced produce from top local markets and purveyors. Mama Lion is set to unveil Zarate’s new menus in January, with dinner being served Tuesday through Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m.
After dinner service, Mama Lion transitions into a supperclub featuring L.A.’s top DJ’s, live music shows and special events. Mama Lion is open Tuesday through Saturday offering after work happy hour, cocktails, dinner and late night bites. 601 S. Western Ave., (213)377-5277.
