The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust is holding “Memories That Won’t Go Away: A Tribute to the Children of the Kindertransport” on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m.

In commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the first Kindertransport, museum board chair Michele Gold will discuss her book, “Memories That Won’t Go Away,” which tells the stories of hundreds of the 10,000 children, including Gold’s mother, Rita Berwald, who traveled alone from Nazi-occupied territories to Great Britain in 1938-39.

The talk will be followed by a panel discussion with Gold and Rita Sinder, who left Austria on a Kindertransport; Paul Kester, who left Germany on a Kindertransport; and Judy Cohen, a museum board member, whose father left Austria on a Kindertransport.
