On Nov. 23, the annual Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies Talk of the Town black-tie gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel honored actress Eva Longoria Bastón with the Muriel Siebert Woman of Power Award and Martin and Lisa Greenberg with the Philanthropic Leadership Award.
More than 500 guests, including Josh Altman of “Million Dollar Listing” and host Kevin Nealon, gathered to support breast and prostate cancer research to benefit the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Providence Saint John’s Health Center.
For three decades, the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies, or ABCs, has dedicated itself to raising much-needed funds to continue the life-saving research being conducted at the John Wayne Cancer Institute. This ongoing commitment enables physicians and scientists at Providence Saint John’s Health Center to continue their ground breaking cancer research for early detection and new treatments, providing hope to cancer patients everywhere. ABCs mission is to find a cure for breast and prostate cancer.
“It is with great joy and pleasure that at the end of each year, the ABCs are fortunate enough to hand the esteemed doctors at the John Wayne Cancer Institute a generous check so they can continue their ground breaking and life-saving research,” ABCs President Gloria E. Gebbia said.
The evening concluded with an hour-long, standing-room-only performance by the Grammy Award-winning Commodores.
The gala also included a luxury boutique and silent and live auctions.
