Continuing the momentum of support in his campaign for re-election, Los Angeles City Councilman David Ryu, 4th District, announced on Nov. 21 the support of state legislators from across Los Angeles and California, including all legislators whose districts overlap with Council District 4.
“I have had the pleasure of working with many of these legislators directly on city-state initiatives. I am proud that these allies support my reelection, and I am committed to continue working with them to move Los Angeles forward,” Ryu said.
The legislators from overlapping districts who have endorsed Ryu are state Senate Majority Leader Bob Hertzberg (D-Van Nuys), state Sen. Ben Allen (D-Santa Monica), state Sen. Maria Elena Durazo (D-Los Angeles), state Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge), Assemblyman Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica), Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo (D-Los Angeles), Assemblywoman Laura Friedman (D-Glendale), Assemblyman Adrin Nazarian (D-North Hollywood), Assemblywoman Luz Rivas (D-Arleta) and Assemblyman Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles).
Other state legislators who endorsed Ryu include state Sens. Steven Bradford, Holly Mitchell, Richard Pan and Henry Stern, and Assembly members Rob Bonta, Autumn Burke, Ed Chau, David Chiu, Jesse Gabriel, Mike Gipson, Chris Holden, Reggie Jones-Sawyer, Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Richard Katz (ret.), Evan Low, Al Muratsuchi, Christy Smith and Phil Ting.
