On Nov. 2, musician Ringo Starr celebrated the dedication of his statue, “Peace and Love,” at Beverly Gardens Park.
Starr, also known as Sir Richard Starkey, is best known as the drummer of the Beatles. He donated his eight-foot-tall sculpture, which replicates his famous hand gesture, to the city of Beverly Hills, which has been his home for many years.
“This sculpture of my hand is a symbol of peace and love, I hope it brings peace and love to everyone who sees it for years to come,” Starr said.
Beverly Gardens Park is located at 9439 Santa Monica Blvd. For information, visit beverlyhills.org.
