Scooter Braun, one of the entertainment industry’s biggest entrepreneurs and innovators, will be the keynote speaker at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s State of the Entertainment Industry Conference presented by Variety this year.

Braun is the founder and chairman of Ithaca Holdings LLC, which has built a portfolio that includes the acquisition of Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group, Mythos Studios with Marvel Founding Chairman David Maisel, unscripted content studio GoodStory Entertainment with JD Roth, and the acquisition of Atlas Publishing, among others.

Braun is also the founder of SB Projects, a diversified entertainment and media company with a roster that includes Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Zac Brown Band, J Balvin, Ashley Graham and Karlie Kloss, among others. Braun and SB Projects also are working on film and television projects including Fox’s untitled K-pop film, Chinonye Chukwu’s “A Taste of Power,” HBO Max’s “Anna K,” FX’s untitled Lil Dicky show, and more, and recently signed a multi-year, first-look television deal with Amazon Studios to develop scripted and unscripted projects.

The Hollywood Chamber’s 2019 State of the Entertainment Industry Conference presented by Variety will take place at the Loews Hollywood Hotel on Thursday, Nov. 21, with LL Cool J as emcee. The half-day conference will start with networking at 8:30 a.m., followed by a full program through 1:30 p.m. Admission is $159.
