Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. That is especially true at Eleven City Delicatessen and Diner in the Miracle Mile, where hungry patrons can find breakfast dishes served all day.

Eleven City opened nine months ago at 5400 Wilshire Blvd. in a bright, welcoming space with comfortable booths perfect for enjoying meals as a group or grabbing a quick bite on the go. The diner recently began serving breakfast and the choices are extensive.

From omelets and egg dishes with classic sides like bacon, ham, sausage and house-made corned beef hash, to pancakes, French toast and waffles topped with strawberries, bananas and berries, the menu is sure to appeal to breakfast lovers of all tastes. Traditional deli favorites of lox, bagels and latkes are available, as well as specialties such as chilaquiles and eggs with fried matzo brie.

Enjoy avocado toast or a quinoa scramble bowl, or go big with steak and eggs, the Tom Waits special (two eggs, two pieces of bacon, two sausages, two pancakes, house potatoes and toast) or the “Bad A#@! Breakfast Sandwich” piled high with two eggs, a choice of two meats, aged Wisconsin cheddar sauce and jalapeños on a challah twist roll. “Nobody goes hungry here,” proprietor Bradley Rubin said.

“It’s breakfast, breakfast, breakfast,” Rubin added. “We’re open for breakfast at 9 a.m. every single day of the week,”

Rubin added that Eleven City Diner strives to be a contributing member of the Miracle Mile community, and he loves the neighborhood’s vibrancy and close-knit nature. In addition to breakfast, classic sandwiches are piled high with corned beef, turkey and pastrami, and the menu includes salads, burgers, brisket, matzo ball soup and more. All of the meats are slow-roasted daily. Satisfy your sweet-tooth with a banana spilt, homemade chocolate cake, apple cobbler, cheesecake, malt or milkshake, or a float from the classic soda fountain.

“We want to be part of this great L.A. neighborhood, and I am proud to be part of the fabric of this community,” Rubin said. “Get your bones in here. Come on in and let us spoil you.”
