Enjoy “Zoo Lights: A Wild Wonderland of Light” running through Sunday, Jan. 5 at the Los Angeles Zoo.
Glowing animals welcome visitors on an unforgettable nighttime journey that includes giant illuminated snowflakes, a disco ball forest, whimsical herd of animated elephants and a twinkling tunnel filled with dynamic swirls of color.
L.A. Zoo Lights is a nighttime holiday light experience that has glowed brighter each year since its debut in 2014. This year’s event features more light animals, new additions and returning favorites.
Visitors can take a self-guided 60- to 90-minute stroll through a large area of the zoo featuring wildlife-inspired displays, lights and projections, immersive interactive experiences, photo ops and seasonal magic. New features include the world’s largest illuminated pop-up storybook, more light animals, hand-crafted Chinese silk lanterns and a high-tech interactive display in which dancing lights respond to guests’ voices. Photographs with Santa Claus are also available on select dates.
“Zoo Lights” is open nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. The attraction will be closed on Nov. 28, and Dec. 24-25. Tickets start at $14.95; $11.95 for children. Tickets are $11 for Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association members and their children. The Los Angeles Zoo is located at 5333 Zoo Drive. For information, call (323)644-4200, or visit lazoolights.org.
