Doctors Without Borders /Médecins Sans Frontières is coming to the Complex Hollywood in Los Angeles on Nov. 19 to recruit medical and non-medical staff to help run its projects around the world. The group is also conducting a similar event in Anaheim on Nov. 20.
The international medical humanitarian organization, which has projects in nearly 70 countries, is particularly interested in reaching out to Los Angeles’s rich network of medical and non-medical professionals.
MSF relies on a broad range of skilled professionals, not just medical professionals, so any local residents with experience in non-medical fields including supply, logistics, water and sanitation, HR and finance, among others, are encouraged to attend. MSF is also always looking for medical profiles, such as midwives and anesthesiologists, especially those who speak French.
A human resources officer will be on hand at both events to discuss requirements and the recruitment process, and a local field worker, nurse Immaculata Bramlage, will also be there to share her experience from 14 assignments with MSF, including her work in South Sudan and Nigeria.
The Complex Hollywood is located at 6476 Santa Monica Blvd. For information, contact Jessica Brown by calling (646)939-6373, or emailing Jessica.brown@newyork.msf.org. To register, visit bit.ly/msflosangelesca.
