Most Saturdays, St. James Episcopal Church in Koreatown will host the Shower of Hope, which serves people experiencing homelessness.
The Shower of Hope will set up in the church’s parking lot, the entrance to which is located on South St. Andrews Place, between 9 a.m. and noon.
The program is seeking donations of items such as socks, underwear, clean clothes and coffee with an Amazon wish list. To donate, visit tinyurl.com/ktownwishlist.
St. James also offers a food pantry that serves approximately 1,700 people each month. It’s open on Thursday mornings from 8 to 9 a.m. On Fridays, the church’s courtyard hosts approximately 100 people for a soup kitchen. The courtyard opens at 4 p.m., and food is served at 5 p.m.
St. James Episcopal Church is located at 3903 Wilshire Blvd. For information, call (213)388-3417, or visit stjla.org.
