The Loren L. Zachary Society will host its annual “Gala Viennese Luncheon” on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, 300 S. Doheny Drive.
The event is supported by the Consul General of Austria Andreas Launer and celebrates Vienna and its musical and artistic culture. International opera star mezzo-soprano Milena Kitic will be honored.
Soprano Kerriann Otano and tenor Dane Suarez will provide musical entertainment at the gala with sopranos Julie Adams and Michele Patzakis, mezzo-soprano Lydia Brown, pianist and musical director Daniel Faltus, trumpeter Peter Hubner and pianist Laszlo Cser.
The Loren L. Zachary Society is dedicated to enhancing the careers of young opera singers and provides financial support. Founded by the late Dr. Loren L. Zachary and Nedra Zachary in 1972, the Zachary Society for the Performing Arts holds a vocal competition for young opera singers every year. The 48th anniversary Grand Finals Concert will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.
