Multiple Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien, Screen Actors Guild Award-winning star of “This Is Us” Jon Huertas and the Aerospace Corporation will be honored at the Los Angeles Team Mentoring 21st annual “Soiree” celebration on Oct. 3.

O’Brien will be honored with the Humanitarian Award, Huertas will receive the Dream Big Award and the Aerospace Corporation will be honored with the Outstanding Service to the Community Award.

LATM, a nonprofit organization guiding middle school students from challenging urban neighborhoods to reach their full potential and develop leadership skills, is also celebrating its 27th anniversary at the celebration on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

LATM has impacted the lives of 27,000 young people through 2.7 million hours of after-school mentoring.
