On Sept. 24, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, City Councilman Paul Koretz, 5th District, City Controller Ron Galperin, representatives of the Jewish Federation and other Jewish groups marked the beginning of Rosh Hashanah at City Hall.
Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Sept. 29.
“[Rosh Hashanah] is a joyous time when families and friends join to celebrate the possibilities that come with a brand new year. Rosh Hashanah is also a time when we can and should reflect on the events of the previous year, lessons learned and make a note of our growth emotionally and spiritually as individuals, as a people and as a nation,” Koretz said.
