The Hispanic Public Relations Association, Los Angeles Chapter, a nonprofit professional association for public relations and marketing executives, will host its annual “PRemio Awards” benefit on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Conga Room at LA Live.

The event raises funds for scholarships for Latino college students pursuing degrees in communications. It includes the Voices of Courage Award, which is given in recognition of an individual or group that uses their position and influence to uplift members of the Hispanic community.

HPRA-LA will award three college students with scholarships. Since its inception, over $450,000 has been raised to help Latino college students in Southern California pursue college degrees.
