Today and tomorrow, Sept. 17-18, President Donald Trump will visit Los Angeles and Beverly Hills to raise funds for his campaign.
To accommodate Trump’s trip, multiple streets will be closed or should be avoided to limit the impact on traffic. No bus routes will be affected by the closures.
In Los Angeles, closed streets include Figueroa Street from 6th Street to 8th Street, Wilshire Boulevard from Flower Street to Beaudry Avenue, and 7th Street from Flower Street to Bixel Street. They were closed the morning of Sept. 17 and will remain closed until midday Sept. 18.
In Beverly Hills, Sunset Boulevard between Ladera and Beverly Drives, and Benedict Canyon Drive between Sunset Boulevard and Mulholland Drive will be intermittently closed between 5 and 9 p.m. on Sept. 17. Suggested alternative east-west routes include Santa Monica, Wilshire and Olympic boulevards, and the alternate north-south route is Coldwater Canyon Drive.
From 2 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 17, drivers should avoid the areas around North Spring Street between South Avenue 18 and Alpine Street, around West College Street between North Main Street and Figueroa Terrace, around Stadium Way between Lilac Terrace and Bishops Road, and around Wilshire Boulevard between the 110 Harbor Freeway and South Flower Street.
Between 4 and 6 p.m. on Sept. 17, drivers should avoid the areas around Wilshire Boulevard between South Flower Street and the 110 Harbor Freeway, around South Figueroa Street between 7th Street and West 4th Street, around North Hill Street between Bernard Street and Alpine Street, around West College Street between Yale Street and North Main Street, and around North Spring Street between Alpine Street and South Avenue 18.
From 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 17, drivers should avoid the areas around Bundy Drive between Airport Avenue and West Pico Boulevard, and around Sunset Boulevard between South Sepulveda Boulevard & Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills.
From 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 17, drivers should avoid the areas around Sunset Boulevard between Bedford Drive and South Sepulveda Boulevard in Beverly Hills, around West 9th Street between the 110 Harbor Freeway and South Flower Street, and around South Figueroa Street between Olympic Boulevard and West 6th Street.
