The Los Angeles City Council honored the Ebell of Los Angeles on Sept. 18 with a presentation celebrating the Ebell’s 125th birthday. Members of the Ebell’s leadership attended, and Councilman David Ryu, 4th District, presented them with a proclamation. The Ebell of Los Angeles, located at 743 S. Lucerne Blvd., is a philanthropic organization founded by women for women. The club supports dozens of nonprofits and provides scholarships, and hosts special events, music, dinners and community forums. For information, visit ebellofla.com.
