A permanent supportive housing project proposed for 537-541 N. Western Ave. recently received approval in the Los Angeles City Council’s Homelessness and Poverty Committee for $6.6 million in Proposition HHH funding.
The project would provide permanent housing to individuals currently experiencing homelessness and services provided by the Koreatown Youth + Community Center.
“Homelessness is felt in every neighborhood across our city, and we need solutions in every neighborhood across our city from the Valley to Hollywood to Mid-City,” said Councilman David Ryu, 4th District.
The proposed project, called the Maple Apartments, would include 63 units of permanent supportive housing and one manager’s unit. The proposal now heads to City Council for approval of the Measure HHH allocation.
