Patina Week 2019
Enjoy a spectacular five-course dining experience at Patina by Executive Chef Andreas Roller for $99 per person. Highlights include Hokkaido scallop crudo with passion fruit and uni aioli. The second course is braised veal tortellini or, for an additional $50, black truffle risotto made with Champagne, parmesanand mascarpone. The third course is a wild Long Island skate wing. Summer 2019 Dine LBC
From Aug. 3 to 11, Tokyo Guild, a newly opened Japanese Tavern in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach, prepares Tokyo-style street food, sushi and ChuHai cocktails. Host Chef Stuart Skverskyand his chef friends return to Vibiana on Sunday, Aug. 4, for a unique night of food, drinks, demonstrations and auctions to support Stu and the Kids, a nonprofit that supports underserved and orphaned Hill Tribe children in northern Thailand. Participating chefs include Neal Fraser, chef/owner of Redbird, Vibiana and Fritzi; Walter and Marguerite Manzke of République; and Hugo Bolanos of Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air. Along with the spicy food, guests can enjoy a Thai-inspired cocktail and crisp summer selections from Bodega Wine Bar, Winebow Fine Wine + Spirits, and Thai beers such as Singha and Leo. Non-alcoholic choices are Herb + Orchard’s ready-made water infusions and Stu and the Kids’ famous fresh Coconut Bar. The night will also feature silent and live auctions. STK Steakhouse Meat Up Mondays

Atrium’s Executive Chef Hunter Pritchett is preparing a new three-course pre-Greek show menu for $35 per person. It’s available from 5 to 7 p.m., and includes a choice of grilled focaccia with kimchi butter and buckwheat honey; Baja prawn with clamato and pickled mirepoix; or Little Gem lettuce with blood orange, avocado, harissa vinaigrette and radish sprouts. The second course includes grilled cauliflower shawarma with pistachio zhoug, Armenian salad, pickled dates and lavash; or dry-aged hanger steak with black garlic chimichurri, grilled spring onions and fingerling potatoes. Summer Sunday supper at Viale dei Romani
Come to the Kimpton La Peer Hotel on Sundays through the end of August for James Beard-nominated Chef and Owner Casey Lane’s seasonal spin on his famous Pasta alla Piastra. This 100-layer lasagna is made with the “World’s Best Bolognese”. Chef Lane rotates the ingredients of this iconic dish every Sunday. He may make minted lasagna pasta sheets with lamb ragu, English peas, Taleggio cheese fondue, béchameland rosemary. Another Sunday, the lasagna may have clams, Calabrian sausage and peewee potatoes. The size of this dish is meant to be shared family style with two or three diners for $35.
