The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra recently joined Los Angeles Galaxy player and World Cup veteran Cristian Pavon (also known as the soccer “Conductor”) to join them in performing Beethoven’s 7th for the team’s promotional video revealing his recent signing with the team. Pavon and LACO players Margaret Batjer, Jacqueline Brand, Susan Rishik, Rafi Rishik, Carol Castillo, Armen Ksajikian, Claire Brazeau, Damian Montano, Dylan Hart and Erick Jovel took the field for the event at the L.A. Galaxy’s stadium. The L.A. Galaxy partnered with LACO to emphasize Pavon’s new role on the team, which will be to coordinate plays on-field during games, or “conduct” them. LACO also welcomes its new Music Director Jaime Martín in September, and the partnership was also used to highlight his role as the orchestra’s new conductor, said LACO representative Libby Huebner.
