The American Israel Gap Year Association has announced the opening of registration for its seventh annual AIGYA Gap Year Fair on Nov. 21, at Shalhevet High School located at 910 S. Fairfax Ave.
The fair is the largest on the West Coast and the only cross- denominational Israel gap year fair open to students and their parents from public, private and home-based high schools. Participants can explore the more than 40 diverse programs from Israel that range from traditional Jewish learning, community and army service, high tech and art specialties. Gap year refers to the year between high school and college.
The Rosina Korda Gap Year Scholarship will be available exclusively to attendees. Three $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to students planning on attending a girls, boys and co-ed program represented at the 2019 AIGYA Gap Year Fair in the 2019-20 academic year. Applications will be sent to interested students after the fair.
