Re “Bite into a Buck Benny at Canter’s during National Hot Dog Month,” July 4 issue

I moved to L.A. In the early ‘60s and the Buck Benny was 50 cents. I had plenty of them in those first months. A corned beef sandwich was 90 cents. Canter’s was a go-to place for me, especially late nights.
