Enjoy horseback riding and learn equestrian skills during the Traditional Equitation School’s weekly horse camp sessions for children 6 to 12 running through Friday, Aug. 16.
The horse camps are for riders of all ability levels. Campers ride for approximately one hour each day. Lessons in the arena are held Monday through Wednesday, with trail rides on Thursday and games on horseback on Friday. Campers also enjoy horse-themed crafts, learn about horse breeds and colors, clean saddles, feed horses and more.
TES is offering a Horse Friends Camp from July 8 through 12 for children with special needs. The camp is limited to eight participants and autism expert Dr. Mark Kretzman will co-lead the camp with TES staff. Horse Friends Camp runs concurrently with the main camp, allowing children with special needs an opportunity to have fun with siblings and peers.
TES Horse camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Before care is available at 8 a.m. and after care is available until 6 p.m. The cost for summer Horse Camp is $515; $600 for the Horse Friends Camp.
TES is located at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 W. Riverside Drive, Burbank. For information, call (818)569-3666, or visit traditionaleq.com.
