Beginning Friday, June 7, the museums of the Miracle Mile – the Craft Contemporary, the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Petersen Automotive Museum – will give a discount on general admission when visiting more than one museum on the same day.
To take advantage of this opportunity, guests must show a receipt or ticket from any of the participating Miracle Mile museums when visiting another participating museum.
The promotion will run until Monday, Sept. 2, and the offer cannot be combined with other discounts.
Located on Los Angeles’ historic Miracle Mile since 1965, Craft Contemporary focuses on contemporary art made from craft media and processes, presenting dynamic exhibitions by established and emerging artists and designers who are often underrepresented in larger art institutions. For information, call (323)937-4230, or visit craftcontemporary.org.
The asphalt seeps at La Brea Tar Pits represent the only active urban Ice Age excavation site in the world. Outside, visitors can watch paleontological excavators carefully extract fossils, and the museum displays the final result: extraordinary specimens of saber-toothed cats, mammoths, dire wolves and mastodons, as well as fossilized remains of microscopic plant remains, insects and reptiles.
