Last year, 7,000 attendees took over four city blocks with two music stages, and this year’s festival will again deliver an exciting lineup of performers, including Grammy-nominated reggae artist Rocky Dawuni and the highly-anticipated reunion of Los Angeles hip-hop legends Fatlip and Slimkid3, formerly of the Pharcyde.
Attendees can also expect a live art battle with Secret Walls, art installations, local food trucks, retail booths, community services, activities for children and a beer garden serving locally brewed beer from 6th and La Brea.
The Mid City Arts and Music Festival is a free, inclusive, and family-friendly event brought to the community by the Mid City Neighborhood Council, City Council President Herb Wesson and the event’s non-profit partner, The Ebony Repertory, with support from LACMA.
The festival takes place along West Washington Boulevard between Rimpau Boulevard and Vineyard Avenue. The Nate Holden Theater is located at 4708 W. Washington Blvd. For information, visit midcityfest.com.
