Eight innovators have been selected to participate in the Global ROI Summit in Jerusalem from June 23 through 27.
They include Becky Tahel Bordo, from Beverly Hills; Arya Marvazy and Ron Weinreich, of West Hollywood; and Deanna Neil, Heather Wilk, Laurel Hunt, Lauren Taus and Shani Rotkovitz, of Los Angeles. The group will be among 154 leading young innovators from 30 countries who will convene in Jerusalem to ideate and collaborate at the summit. The event is organized by the ROI Community and is an initiative of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation. The ROI Community is an international network of activists and change makers redefining Jewish engagement for a new generation.
For over a decade, ROI Community has convened some of the most promising young Jews from around the world, providing a platform for them to challenge each other and develop visions for change. Through the annual summit and year-round opportunities for leadership and engagement, ROI has built an intentional community of more than 1,500 activists and innovators committed to making the world a better place through Jewish values.
Inspired by the Jewish tradition of 13 representing a coming-of-age year, the summit will draw on the theme of responsibility. Through opportunities for self-reflection, knowledge sharing and artistic inspiration, participants will be encouraged to explore responsibilities as leaders.
“The impressive change agents who have been chosen to take part in this year’s ROI Summit have already proven their ability and readiness to step up and to lead, and we are energized by their limitless potential to generate positive impact,” said No’a Gorlin, associate executive director for ROI Community.
