The Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Musicians Institute, presents the 2019 K-POP Dance & Vocal Academy running from Monday, July 22, through Saturday, Aug. 10.
The program helps dancers and singers interested in K-POP and its culture develop performance skills. The academy will be held at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Beginning dance and vocal sessions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while intermediate dance and vocal sessions will run from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
All classes are free; applications are due by July 10. Students will be selected through onsite auditions or videos that are submitted.
Students and instructors will prepare a performance for a final showcase that will be held on Aug. 10 at the Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles, 5505 Wilshire Blvd. The celebratory performance is open to the public and will include special guests and performers.
