Trejo’s Tacos has opened its newest location at the iconic Original Farmers Market. The colorful and art-filled taqueria is a natural fit for the historic location because their deep, local roots.

“I’ve been coming to the Original Farmers Market since I was a kid, and as an adult I have fond memories hanging out with my best friend, Eddie Bunker. We would walk around and try all the fresh food from the different businesses,” said actor and restauranteur Danny Trejo. “Now, having my own restaurant at such an iconic location makes me pinch myself. This is a dream.”
With an abundance of fresh produce and ingredients found right in the market itself, the restaurant’s menu will combine popular items, such as the fried chicken taco and jackfruit burrito, with new offerings like the spit-roasted al pastor tacos.
The newest Trejo’s Tacos draws its design inspiration from Mexico’s beach taquerias and will embody everything that makes Trejo’s Tacos refreshingly unexpected and exclusively L.A., he said.
“Trejo’s Tacos has become an integral part of the city’s DNA and we look forward to welcoming this innovative brand to the Original Farmers Market family,” said Michael Hilty, manager of the Farmers Market.
Trejo’s Tacos at the Original Farmers Market, located at 6333 W. 3rd St., will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offerings will include tacos, burritos, salads, vegan and vegetarian specialties and aguas frescas.
