Pop’s Bagels pop-up
From May 31-June 2, Pop’s Bagels owner Zach Liporace will bring his portable oven to three different locations for his Bagel Triathlon. On Friday, May 31, MiniBar Hollywood will feature a double-decker pizza bagel from 9 a.m. to noon. On Saturday, June 1, visit Little Dom’s for a smashed meatball parm bagel from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Sunday, June 2, walk into 101 Coffee Shop between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a special bacon, egg and cream cheese bagel. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Pedal on the Pier
Sunday, June 2, is the annual fundraiser We Spin, Kids Win! at the Santa Monica Pier from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This high-energy spin-a-thon features food and drinks from local restaurants including Sweetfin Poke, Benny’s Tacos, Factor’s Famous Deli, Golden Road, Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, Kreation, Pie Hole, Tesse and Krispy Kreme. Enjoy live musical performances, DJs, and celebrity guests. Participating teams pedal for five hours to raise money for the Harold Robinson Foundation, which helps underserved kids in L.A. have a fulfilling camp experience. 200 Santa Monica Pier.
L.A. Pride at Golden Road Brewing
On Wednesday, June 5, from 8 p.m. to midnight, Golden Road will transform Chloe’s, their private event space, into a glitter-filled prom with a live DJ and drag performances throughout the evening. Attendees are encouraged to wear creative prom attire. Golden Road is brewing a pub-only Pride beer called Slay All Day, a Berliner Weisse, which will be available during Pride month while supplies last. Pride in LA drag kickoff party
On Thursday, June 6, the Garland Ballroom is hosting a Pre-Pride event in North Hollywood called Drag Yourself to the Valley. The evening presents fierce queens with a classic drag show hosted by West Hollywood’s Billy Francesca featuring Vanessa Vanjie and Brooke Lynn Hytes.
