The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Los Angeles County Commission for Older Adults and Los Angeles County Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services Department recently honored West Hollywood residents at the 54th annual Older Americans Recognition Day Awards in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The honorees were Carole Cooke (seated) and her husband Tom Troupe (standing, right), as well as West Hollywood Senior Advisory Board member Michael Hollingsworth (left); West Hollywood Human Services Commissioner Barbara Meltzer, who also serves on the county’s Commission for Older Adults; and Genethia Hudley-Hayes, education and social services deputy for Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, 3rd District. Cook and Troupe were also honored by the West Hollywood Senior Advisory Board for their ongoing service to the city.
