Enjoy a renaissance in railroading during “Steam Railfest” on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28, in Fillmore, California.

The festival showcases steam engines, antique tractors, vehicles and locomotives, and includes unique performances, demonstrations on early transportation, vintage wares, oddities and culture mixed with steampunk fun. There will also be steam locomotive train rides, a Citrus Packing House Caboose Ride Adventure, Dr. Solar’s Gypsy Wagon Medicine Man Show, a vintage car show, antique carousel rides, vendors and artisans, model railroad set-ups, movie props, music by the Orchard Bluegrass Band, food, wine tasting and more.
“Steam Railfest” is hosted by the Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society and the Fillmore & Western Railway. Established in 1993, the Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society’s mission is to preserve and restore the railroad corridor between Montalvo and Saugus. Fillmore & Western Railway is home to vintage passenger and dining cars dating to 1914, as well as the 1913 restored and operating #14 Baldwin Steam Engine. Fillmore & Western Railway offers rides aboard vintage trains throughout the year.
