Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Detectives are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run collision on March 26.

At approximately 6:10 a.m., a driver struck a 30-year-old man who was crossing Bonnie Brae Street just north of Sixth Street. The victim, Leonides Rivas, parked his vehicle on Bonnie Brae Street and was crossing eastbound. He was midway across the street when he was struck from behind by a truck traveling southbound on Bonnie Brae Street. The driver of the truck fled southbound from the scene. Rivas died at a hospital.

Authorities have identified the driver as Martin Gonzalo Rodas. Security camera video of the collision can be viewed by visiting lapdonline.org. Anyone with information is asked to call (213)486-0750.
