Victim of possible suicide at Beverly Center identified
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified a victim whose body was found on March 3 in a store at the Beverly Center as Ted Kim, 52, of Los Angeles. Authorities were called at approximately 12:10 p.m. after a gunshot was heard in a dressing room at the Forever 21 store on the eighth floor of the Beverly Center, LAPD spokesman Barry Montgomery said. Police secured the area and found the victim’s body in the dressing room. A handgun was recovered at the scene and the death is being investigated as a suicide, Montgomery added. Coroner’s office spokeswoman Sarah Ardalani said an autopsy is pending.
