Re “Letters to the Editor: Tom Bergin’s building has outlived its usefulness,” March 21 issue

I am of Irish descent and always went to Bergin’s. We don’t have an Irish restaurant now that it closed. It’s sad that Mr. Schreck did not know how to operate his business.

As far as homeless housing built in the location, the only thing [built there] will be condos for thousands a month. Good luck with that.

Let Bergin’s find a new owner and open, like Formosa [Café] is.

[Building housing for homeless individuals at the Tom Bergin’s site], that’s not my idea of a useful purpose. I doubt the homeowners in the area would agree to homeless housing. Senior housing, but homeless?
