The Los Angeles District Attorney Office is warning residents about new credit card scams in which perpetrators attempt to steal personal information.
Perpetrators contact people who may be receiving new credit cards and claim to be from the issuing company. They tell victims they must provide personal or financial information to activate the cards and use the information to commit identity theft.
