IMAX Corporation, Cosmic Picture and Mars Petcare have announced that the upcoming documentary “Superpower Dogs,” narrated by actor Chris Evans, is set to release in IMAX and giant screen theaters, including at the California Science Center, beginning March 15.
From the filmmakers behind the documentaries “Jerusalem” and “Journey to Mecca,” “Superpower Dogs” follows six real-life canine superheroes and their human partners as they brave earthquakes and avalanches, protect endangered species such as rhinos and elephants, and transform the lives of people with special needs.
“I am really happy to be part of ‘Superpower Dogs,’” Evans said. “I am a proud dog owner and completely understand the connection that humans have with these remarkable animals. I love the way this film highlights incredible working dogs who utilize their real-life superpowers to help and protect people.”
Screenings of the documentary at the California Science Center will begin March 16. Additionally, the joint exhibition “Dogs! A Science Tail” will open at the center the same day. Find out how humans and dogs are both wired for social connection, which made it possible for dogs to nuzzle their way into human society. Discover dogs’ amazing senses and have the chance to see, hear, smell and act like a dog. The exhibition will include live demonstrations of work and rescue dogs in action.
The California Science Center is located at 700 Exposition Park Drive. For information, visit superpowerdogs.com or californiasciencecenter.org.
