Mardi Gras wine tasting
On Thursday, March 2, enjoy an evening of wine tasting at the Latino Theater Company starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be six wine stations, small appetizers and a silent auction table. Stouts N Staches Brew Fest & Pig Roast
Support the Movember Foundation with the Stouts N Staches Brew Fest and Pig Roast at Clutch Venice on March 3 from 3 to 8 p.m. Participants can enjoy beer from local breweries such as Venice Duck, New Holland and Lagunitas, along with whiskey tastings. Bites are provided by the Gastro Garage and include a plate of barbecue with maple bourbon Brussels sprouts, poblano cheese grits, slaw and a dinner roll. Vegetarian and vegan options include a super grain and roasted root vegetable bowl. Bob Dylan tribute band Jack of Hearts and Johnny Marfa & the Lights will play tunes throughout the evening, and the Service & Supply Barbershop team will offer moustache and beard trimmings. The event will also feature a cigar rolling and mustache contest with giveaways. A portion of proceeds from the party will benefit men’s health issues through the Movember Foundation. Heavvy’s pizza party

‘Pedal to Power Breakfast’
To help raise awareness around childhood hunger, No Kid Hungry will host a special breakfast-themed event on the Santa Monica Pier across from Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on March 5 from noon to 8 p.m. The day aims to bring awareness during National School Breakfast Week. Attendees can pedal energy-generating bikes to light up oversized breakfast food inflatables, as well as participate in other games and giveaways. Eataly’s fresh seafood menu
