The Michelin-starred Patina offers six-courses of seasonal dishes for dineL.A. Diners can choose from the kinmedai, abalone and Santa Barbara sea urchin, or the binchotan-grilled wagyu New York strip with vadouvan short rib, Matsuri rice and choy sum. This special meal is $99 per person and is available Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. The sommelier-selected wine pairing is $55 per person, or select the artisan nonalcoholic beverage pairing for $35 per person. Michelin-starred dinner at Nerano
Enjoy an authentic taste of Italy now through Jan. 15 as Michelin-starred chef Antonio Mellino, of the Amalfi Coast’s Quattro Passi, cooks in the kitchen of Nerano in Beverly Hills. The exclusive four-course tasting menu, featuring lobster risotto and handmade tagliolini with artichokes and truffles, includes wine pairings for $200. Celebrate National Hot Toddy Day at Humphry Slocombe
Head to the Venice location of Humphry Slocombe on Friday, Jan. 11, for a complimentary hot toddy sundae and artisan cocktails from 6 to 10 p.m. The ice cream brand has partnered with renowned Scotch whisky brand The Glenlivet. Humphry Slocombe’s new specialty flavor, also named The Glenlivet, is made with the 12-year malt Scotch whisky and is used in the hot toddy sundae. Ayara Thai’s healthy New Year menu
Ayara Thai is combining family game night and healthy eating habits with its month-long game of Healthy Eats Bingo. Santa Monica Restaurant Week
Now through Jan. 13, celebrate Santa Monica Restaurant Week with highlights of the city’s award-winning, health-conscious culinary destinations. Chefs at nearly 30 participating restaurants will craft delicious and healthy custom dishes centered around persimmons. The versatile fruit contains key minerals and fiber, which promote heart health, reduce inflammation, support good vision and keep the digestive system healthy. Laura Ramirez of JJ’s Lone Daughter Ranch is one of the many farmers selling the fruit at the Santa Market Farmers Market. Water Grill is making farmed New Zealand king salmon crudo with persimmon confit and crème fraîche. January specials at The Independence
The chefs at The Independence are offering persimmon toast and persimmon salad during Santa Monica Restaurant Week. For drinks, the mixologists are including Pedialyte in their mocktails to keep guests hydrated.
