NYE at A.O.C.
A.O.C. will be serving lunch on the last day of 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For the à la carte dinner menu, diners can sit at the communal table or bar without a reservation, until space allows, starting at 5:30 p.m. The special four-course New Year’s Eve menu features small plates and platters, including kampachi crudo and oven-roasted Manila clams. NYE in downtown Los Angeles
For an elegant evening above the glistening city lights, take the elevator up to the 24th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles. From 5:30 to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, chef de cuisine John Lechleidner at WP24 by Wolfgang Puck will serve a special three-course menu featuring dim sum for the table. Follow with Asian-inspired à la carte options such as hamachi tartare, pan-roasted wild bass and a Pink Lady apple tart. The menu is $85 per person. Lucques’ Sicilian New Year’s Eve
Take a culinary journey to Sicily on Dec. 31. During this special “Godfather”-themed meal at Lucques, diners will enjoy a five-course menu with optional wine pairings, themed décor and costumed staff. Rustic Canyon’s chef de cuisine Andy Doubrava and executive chef Jeremy Fox have prepared a multicourse, family-style tasting feast for New Year’s Eve. Along with fresh seasonal produce and yearlong pickling, preserving and fermentation projects, the menu showcases dry-aged strip loin, foie gras and black truffle terrine, and Robiola cheese and whole-leaf sauerkraut.
