Enjoy weekend evenings filled with classical, jazz and world music with the city of West Hollywood’s 2018-19 Winter Sounds free indoor concert series at the West Hollywood Library’s Council Chambers starting on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 5 p.m.

The debut concert features a holiday-themed concert by the California String Quartet, which was formed in 2002 by members of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra to explore the diversity and beauty of an intimate chamber music repertoire. The concert will also celebrate the memory of violinist and concertmaster Katia Popov, right, who passed away in May 2018. Admission is free and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
