Re “WeHo tower project rings in final council approval,” Nov. 8 issue

In your lengthy, 20 paragraph article about the Sunset Spectacular, you covered how tall it will be and how much land it will cover, but nowhere is [it mentioned about] the cost of this project.

Will it be paid entirely by the city taxpayers? Will there be any cash revenue generated from this project for the city? How much will this project cost?

On the east side of town, there are still pedestrian crosswalks that need attention and have for the past four years. But the east side always seems to come up short when it comes to attention from City Hall.

Editor’s note: According to West Hollywood Long Range and Mobility Planning Manager Bianca Siegl, taxpayers will not pay for the Sunset Spectacular. Rather, the construction and operational costs for the tower are Orange Barrel Media’s responsibility. In terms of revenue, West Hollywood will receive an estimated $10 million over the project’s 10-year term.
