Toca Madera hosts the ultimate taco holiday bash today, Nov. 1, at 5 p.m. Fill your taco with carne asada made with skirt steak, sweet pepper, smoked guajillo sauce and cotija cheese. Vegan diners will savor the adashah lettuce wraps filled with a vegan, lentil-based protein; butter lettuce; avocado mojo; corn relish; radish and vegan mozzarella. The Front Yard’s Fall Block Party
Get into the fall spirit at The Front Yard with their annual Fall Block Party on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will be filled with live music from the Cowling Band, pop-up shopping and lawn games. Enjoy gourmet samplings prepared by executive chef Larry Greenwood and sip some of California’s best breweries and wineries including 10 Span Vineyards, Justin Winery, Knee Deep Brewing Co., Mission Brewery and more. On Tuesday, Nov. 6, executive chef Samuel Baxter and Blue Island Oyster’s Todd Rubenstein will lead a discussion about the inclusive oyster experience. Following the “Ted’s Talk,” the two will lead an oyster demonstration followed by a sit-down, four-course menu dinner with wine pairings and bottled water for $95 per person. Patina and ‘Dear Evan Hansen’
The Tony-winning Broadway musical “Dear Evan Hansen” has made its way to Los Angeles and will be playing at the Ahmanson Theatre in The Music Center through Nov. 25.
