Seattle-born, Norfolk-raised Kishi Bashi continues the Skirball’s Sunset Concerts series on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 8 p.m.

Kishi Bashi is the stage name of Kaoru Ishibashi. The artist’s loop-based performances have captivated audiences across the globe. In addition to releasing three critically acclaimed albums as a solo artist, he has recorded and toured internationally as a violinist with renowned artists Regina Spektor, Sondre Lerche and most recently Of Montreal.
The evening begins with DJ Callie Ryan of dublab, who will spin a set at 6:30 p.m.
The remaining schedule of the 2018 Sunset Concerts at the Skirball features Gili Yalo on Aug. 30 in his Los Angeles debut. All concerts begin at 8 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m. Check-in and free admission to the museum and Skirball campus begins at 5:30 p.m.
Parking is $10 per car. Grab-and-go light fare, full bar service and specialty food items will be available for happy hour and throughout the show. Guests may bring their own food. No outside alcoholic beverages or chairs are permitted.
