The Original Farmers Market, corner of Third and Fairfax, held its 10th annual “Taste of Farmers Market” on July 24. The tasting extravaganza featured flavorful bites, entertainment and community goodwill, as well as firehouse chili served by local firefighters in partnership with the First-In Fire Foundation.

The Market also posed a tasting challenge to each guest in attendance. Anybody who enjoyed every taste and giveaway from each of the 50 merchants would win free tickets to next year’s “Taste of Farmers Market,” a $45 value. The winners were K.C. Siekowski, Kim Hillman and Michelle Taktani, three friends and teachers from West Covina.

The Original Farmers Market has never had a group of three finish the challenge. The ladies have decided to make “Taste of Farmers Market” an annual event and plan to attend together next year.
