Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an armed suspect who robbed a business on June 28 in Koreatown.
At approximately 9:25 a.m., Olympic Division patrol officers responded to an armed robbery call in the 1300 block of South Vermont Avenue. A male suspect entered the business, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at an employee and demanded money.

A security camera captured a photograph of the suspects’ getaway vehicle. Authorities hope it will lead to their arrests. (photo courtesy of the LAPD)
The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a register and ran to a vehicle parked in front of the business and driven by a second suspect. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Vermont Avenue and east on Pico Boulevard.
The suspect who entered the business was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a ski mask, black jacket, green shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes. No description was provided of the driver.
The getaway vehicle was a late 1990s to early 2000s pick-up, possibly a Chevrolet S10 or Toyota Tacoma. It was grey and blue, had tinted windows and white paper license plates. An “Air Jordan” sticker was seen on the rear window.
Police released a security camera image of the armed suspect and vehicle, which can be viewed by visiting lapdonline.org.
